Answer:
Native Americans? Who are they? I mean, you can't find Native Americans in Canada or Mexico or in Central or South America. So how is it that the United States only obtained Native Americans after "civil rights" leaders became involved? Is it because of love for segregation? Canadians are called, well, Canadians. And those south the the US boarder are "Whites with Latino heritage" making Native Americans alone in their heritage. And where did they come from? Almost every square inch what owned by another country prior to the US owning it. The French sold us the Louisiana Purchase. Mexico owned most of the western states prior to 1848. Spain owned Mexico before Mexico won her freedom. The Spanish also owned Florida. And Russia owned Alaska.. None of these countries knew the term "Native American" when they owned part of what is the US. So how is it that the US came to have that which didn't exist when they obtain the land? ***What does Thanksgiving mean to the Native Americans?*** The first Thanksgiving was between the British and Indians and the Indians usually favored the British except in the French and Indian War...Unless you want to say the French and Native American War. Don't forget, the colonist dressed up as Indians...unless you want to say the colonist dressed up like Native Americans and had themselves a Boston Tea Party. Again, Indians/Native Americans were for the British and not the colonist. About 1800, less than 25 years after declaring independence from Britain, the northern state had outlawed slavery and slavery was in decline in the south. At the same time, the US made the Louisiana Purchase where the lands owned by France was sold to the US. And during the War of 1812 against the British, the Indians or Native Americans sided with the British if they took a side. So the Indians/Native Americans have a long history of siding with the French and later the British. ***What does Thanksgiving mean to the Native Americans?*** IT means that the Indians / Native Americans still have time to integrate instead of warring against the US like those in Canada are at peace and those in Central and South America have made peace.

Native Americans would probably prefer to not remember all the crap the settlers did to them throughout history, starting with Thanksgiving. Edit: "***yougogirl***" - It's a proven fact that turkey was NEVER served at the first Thanksgiving. It's likely lobster, shellfish, geese, venison.
