i think its about a guy who is a drunk and the girlfriend always helps him. and then he sobers up and goes to find the girl but he cant because she killed herself. because he was too much to handle when he was drunk but i know she killed herself because it says "i've done something so terrible......im over you now, im at home in the cloud" thats just what i think it means...i dont no for sure tho

i think its about a guy who had a one night stand with a girl but then realized he had feelings for her. but then by the time he realized that, she had killed herself. he went to her old house, but sombody else had moved in and he asked where she was and they said she moved away because they didnt want to make him upset. then he just gives up trying to find her. love this song!! :D
