Precision bass or Jazz Bass?
-
Well I am a total newbie when it comes to music, but I decided to buy a bass guitar for my birthday. Which one is better for newbies and tell me the difference between those two...

Answer:
In general they both sound and play differently. you can look up the specs on the Fender site, but generally the Pbass has a wider, flatter maple neck and the jazz bass has a rounder, rosewood neck. You need to play both and find out which one feels and sounds good to you. The short version is that you need to go to a store and play both. go to several stores and play several versions of both. No two basses are the same, because no two pieces of wood are the same. This including two basses of the exact same make, model, and year.
