What is the best way to learn jazz piano?

I have learnt classical piano for 8 years.Can i learn jazz piano by myself?

Although learning Jazz is very possible, u need to direction. And books often don't do that for u. I recommend getting a Jazz pianist teach u what u should practice. Just get a lesson to send u off in a direction. But here are some things u should work on: -Scales -Chords and voicing for chords (again for voicing u may need a teacher or a good book) -LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN: the most important part of Jazz is that u listen to Jazz Pianists. Get some CDs and listen for ur 2 months. Try to figure out what they are doing. Try to be like them.
