Does anyone know of any good jazz collections for a begining jazz singer?

get " the real fake book" ..... i forget the author, but there are several out now.... so you can probably find one themed for female vocals..... or just google it.

You stated that you can write up the charts in the keys that work well for you--ok so why dont you pick out some songs that you really like and go for it. Think Diana Krall. As you pick out your songs.

Look for the great jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald and for low regester singing try to find some "Sarah Vaughn"! Both these gals can really sing and are the 2 QUEENS of jazz! Today's or younger singers try Diane Krall, Norah Jones or DIANE SCHUUR! She's my fav gal jazz singer! Try to find her with The Count Basie Orchestra! She has about a 6 octave range!!
