How to clean a brass trumpet?
-
How do I grease/oil it too.

Answer:
The best advice I can give is to tell you to go to you tube and view the many videos they have on cleaning trumpets and brass instruments. Basic advice is to take the trumpet completely apart and fill a sink or container with warm water with a mild soap like a dishwashing liquid and put the trumpet parts and soak them. You also must get a trumpet cleaning kit, several are available on amazon.com .Also purchase a valve oil such as Al Cass trumpet valve oil. The trumpet cleaning kit will have valve oil and slide grease. As I say once you see the videos on you tube you will have a good idea about cleaning your trumpet and oiling the parts. Do beware of some of those videos because they have conflicting ideas about how to clean the horn.
