What songs would be played at a jazz club in the 1920s?
-
I need more upbeat songs that people might be able to dance to... dances like the Charleston, Black bottom, etc. Artists like Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, etc.
-
Answer:
The One Step, Shimmy, Toddle. Not a lot of jazz-specific dances were created during this period; many traditional dances like the foxtrot and tango were used in more modern ways, but it wasn't until a couple decades later that a lot of famous dances were created.
