What kind of jobs can I get as a business graduate at a pharmaceutical company?

    This may or may not be too helpful as I am not that knowledgable in this field, however I helped to project manage the build of a pharmaceutical company's website and careers portal:  http://tevauk.com There are alot of careers within these organizations other than the obvious 'sciences' path, for example marketing managers or field sales managers. In the example of a field sales manager, I believe this is in the region of £35k plus target bonuses and a car. Although just having a qualification will not be enough to walk straight into this pay bracket and you'll generally have to work from the bottom up, gaining experience in the area. I'd advise looking on pharma websites and finding a careers section to see what is available and what would best suit you.

You can expect to earn six figures in your 20's if you are able to get a job in it. I'd say the average age of a mid level person here seems to be about 40s. Pay varies wildly at that level. This is a job you will get after a stint at an investment bank or consultancy. Some major companies will train you, but career progression is a bit slower and pay much lower.#2 Marketing is the more traditional path and a handful of companies will hire entry level people.  Pay tends to vary by company but is generous compared to other industries these days. Marketing tends to really encompass all late stage commercialization efforts so the title is a bit misleading. #3 Sales is the best paid by far. Someone in their 20s can easily earn 200k+ if they are a skilled sales person at the right company. Companies have training programs to induct new sales grads before they spread through the industry. This relies far more on interpersonal skills than a business knowledge and there is limited job security, but the pay more than makes up for it.#4 If you specialize in supply management or something similar and have a strong pharma knowledge this is a possibility. It is a very long term and very stable job with fairly generous pay. Your ability to grow that pay is limited, however. BD/Marking/Sales all have a huge range of salaries while in supply you will probably start in the high five figures and end your career somewhere in the 200s.
