  Wbat is your acuity with glasses? Do you have an eye disease? Needing glasses that are stronger each year does not mean you are in any danger of going blind. To see, all you have to do is simply wear your glasses or contacts. Should you suddenly lose all sight due to eye disease, there are usually government sponsored programs that will teach you braille. If you have no sight, you will learn quickly. As long as you have some sight, braille is not needed, most legally blind people do not use braille, they use large print or a "print to voice" interface on a computer.
