How to protect our teeth?

Product Development: Why during these technologically advanced times nobody is able to invent toothpaste that would actually protect teeth for 24h?

  • Why isn't there a solution where teeth would be protected 100% from germs for the whole day? Isn't there some nano-technology based liquid that would cover your teeth completely and would actually protect from bacteria eating your tooth? I just can not believe that at these times there is no such solution. I guess dentistry industry would collapse if such product would be sold so it would not be interested in the development...

    I'm no expert in teeth but I know they are alive. They contain nerves as well as tiny blood vessels. So what I think is that covering them would be like covering any other part of your body. It would alter it and possibly have a negative effect. Here is an exemple to make my point clearer : If you wore gloves everyday to protect your hand's skin, obviously your skin's health would quickly deteriorate, because your skin needs to breath, to recieve light from the sun, your nerves need to be stimulated, etc, etc...

Power of exponential growth. Let's take a simplified example. Let us say, germs in your mouth double every hour, and after brushing your teeth, only one germ is left. After 1 hour, you will have 2, 2 hours later 4, and so on, at the end of 12 hours there will be 4000 germs, and after 24 hours there will be 16 million. That is, your tooth paste, should be 4000 times stronger to double the time you can go without brushing. Of course, this is a simplified. supposing that the nano particles cover the teeth, to prevent growth outside the nano walls. then what about the bacteria that are already captured inside the nano particle wall( the contact space between the teeth and the interior nano particle wall).?
