Where should I go if I wanted to get a cheap but good halloween costume in Oakland, CA?

Go to Goodwill for really cheap clothes that you can alter or decorate without ruining your "good" clothes. For the pirate, I would look in the men's section for pants you can cut off into raggedy shorts, add a scarf for a belt, and a white shirt, and voila! (I think there is also still a pirate supply store in the Mission where you can get accessories like an eye patch.) For the indian, hmm, maybe you can find corduroy pants and/or jacket. This one is going to be harder.
