Answer:
There are free work at home jobs online. Typically they pay you to view advertisements, take surveys, etc. Once such site is Inbox Dollars. I've written a blog post about getting your first $30 from Inbox Dollars in under an hour. The main problem with finding sites like this that are legit is needing to go through all the scam sites. I use Marketing Pond, which is a collection of prescreened sites guaranteed to payout when they say they will. See my Marketing Pond Review for a list of legit programs. Good luck!

Actually, you are right. Someone should never have to pay a fee to get a JOB. Expenses for things like transcription equipment may be expected for that type of job if someone doesn't already have those things, but you are right. No fee should be paid for a job. Now let me go on, hopefully this will help. There are two different types of work at home income. Work at home JOBS are like telecommuting. You have a boss and guaranteed assignments. You get those done in a timely fashion and you've got a paycheck, and you probably don't have to pay anything (unless it's something like transcription work and you're paying for your equipment). But your time isn't as flexible with this type of work. Like I said earlier, there should be no fee for this. Check out wahm.com's telecommuting folder for some legit jobs. They ARE available. Then there are work at home BUSINESSES. These usually do require some sort of money from you but this is okay if you are paying for products. Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Avon are some of the well known one for this type of business. I'm in Watkins (see my profile if you're interested -- it's been around since 1868 and provides the best quality kitchen spices, mixes, etc. in my opinion!), There are especially fun if you're wanting some type of "hobby" job and want to get out of the house on occasion. When you join one of these companies, you are paying for your business to get started. You can't start a business without something to sell, material to provide information, etc. If you are paying for this type of thing it's okay. The amount you pay depends with each company. You should be very sure to know exactly what you are paying for. Now, I stress that you should NEVER have to pay money for lists of "prospects," just for "information," etc. You should only be willing to pay money to a very reputable company for products. Anything else is a scam. Now that I've made clear the two different type of work at home opportunities, you've got one of the most important things to figure out: What are your passions, hobbies, etc. What do you naturally enjoy doing? Any type of work you do from home needs to be something you won't hate. It doesn't matter if your neighbor is truly making a million bucks with ease with some company, if you don't naturally enjoy doing that type of thing, you're going to be lucky to make $10. Does this make sense? Think about what you like to do and go from there. There is something out there for nearly any type of niche. For example, I love to write so I went into newspaper work and then started to freelance once I quit my job to be home with my children. I also love to cook so Watkins is a great fit for me. Also, I enjoy helping people so I started doing web stuff that provided resources for people (see my profile). Okay, the last thing: There is one thing that you can do that won't cost you anything. Google adsense can be set up for free on a free blog and you can make money doing this. BUT it takes time, time, TIME and patience, patience, PATIENCE and WORK to see significant income this way. It takes a while to get the kind of traffic you would need to make this a reliable source of income. If you're looking for ideas on legit opportunities, I suggest you check out wahm.com. They have SO much information there. I hope I've been of some help! : )

Hi, To be honest, you are probably not going to find a job working from home. Any opportunities you find that require a start up fee or money up front is a scam don't get sucked in!! I encourage you to immediately put these jobs out of your mind. Here are some of my tips when looking for a job.... Networking - Register at your local Unemployment Office (you don't need to be on unemployment to register for their assistance). They often will have networking groups on a regular basis. They also are a good source for the jobs that never show up in the paper or online. Check your local paper -- In many cases the papers classified are now online. Search Smart Online -- If you don't have a lot of time, spend most of your time at sites that aggregate the job feeds from several job search engines. Prominently these include indeed.com and thingamajob.com. Organization -- I use a free online application that allows you to track your ads, jobs you apply for, send or print mail merged correspondence, and track your job search history. This site is jobsearchlog.com I invite you to check it out and you'll be able to keep track of what you apply for. Good Luck, Karen Source(s):
