  I seem to be more familiar with a different kind of appointment setter job... The company I work for has people who do that. It's an in-office job, not a work from home job. They are well educated people, who take incoming calls and schedule appointments. They are well paid, and very busy, very professional people. There is no commission because there are no sales; they truly set appointments. They have access to everyone's calendars and schedules and schedule appointments for other staff. Their benefits package is extremely good. They also make outbound calls, but only to introduce programs, not sales, or to re-schedule appointments for others in the office. It's a sweet, but very busy job.
