Why do some companies hire people, and then do a background check?
-
Shouldn't they do one before they hire?
-
Answer:
The problem to this is that even if they check the background first before hiring, maybe some of these checked people aren't interested on the said job.

It's a formality. They've done most of the screening, and unless the potential employee has a checked past he did not bring up in the interview, they are expecting a clean report. Besides, some companies outsource the checks, through a third party, which can cost on avg$600.00 per candidate. Hope that helps
