You may need to get into law enforcement by taking a lesser job. The good part about doing it is that you will build personal contacts and when the job you really want comes up then you'll already have your background done and on file. I've worked in the field for almost 5 years and that's the best way I've seen co-workers advance or get the position they really want. Good luck!!!

I don't necessarily think they are worthless degrees, because I am getting my Bachelors in Criminal Justice too, but you have to try hard to find a job and you also have to be open to moving possibly clear across the country. I've accepted that part of my career and so has my husband, who supports me in my career. Start looking for jobs that aren't only in your area, look all over. Good luck!

Some one ask a similar question like yours last night, too. Maybe he's right criminal justice degree is probably worthless. That might be why you can't barely get a job in that field.

What were you planning to do with your degree? If you have no clue, you should go back to your career center and discuss what options you have to put that degree into use. The career counselors are very good at discussing with alumni and students on where they should after college. Good luck.
