The ability to use Google to answer basic questions such as this....no, not a nasty answer, just a wake-up call. Competition in the legal field is red hot and the inability to do basic research will rule you out pretty much immediately.

If you want to become a lawyer do NOT do a law a level the universities and firms will want to reach you the subject themselves. A levels: English, History, Critical thinking and Business are a good safe bet. It might take 6 years but If you're with a firm whilst learning you're going to have a job after it.

The UK has 2 types of lawyers, Barrister or Solicitor. You have to graduate from law school, 2 years of articling as a student lawyer working for a law firm. Pass the bar exam.
