Is it hard to get a job being a Lawyer?

  • Im studying to be a Lawyer and plan on taking the bar exam to practice in New York ... is it hard to get a job as a Lawyer in New York ?

    Yes! and No!..Be prepared to be in school the remainder of your life!..Law is ever changing,and if you are a person who doesn't like change you can forget about Law! Also to become a Lawyer it takes a lot of money! Most (not all) are from a fluent families who could afford to send there kids to University...Either you will be paying back a very large loan or you will have to be mommy and Daddies ***** for a long time,and be forced to be nice to everyone you hate at Mommy and Daddies dinner parties:) Are you intelligent?(this is debatable)Are you adaptable?Are you able to remain indifferent in cases such as rape,child abuse,murder,etc ..when in your heart YOU know that a person is as guilty as hell ,however you still have to defend them... You can become a Defense Lawyer,a Crown Attorney ,a Corporate Lawye, etc etc, there are many different areas of Law. If you want to BECOME a Lawyer then get ready to work,being a Lawyer is not just another job you can apply for..You start at the bottom(unless Daddy or Moommy own a firm)you will be in the trenches ,and have to prove yourself to go places.
