Can employers see all of my previous jobs?

Are my employers in two separate jobs allow to see that I have two jobs at once?

  • I think both jobs enter their pay in the payroll system. That means that my social security, etc, will be entered. Can both employers see that I am working two jobs at once?

  • Answer:

If you are worried about taxes, your problem isn't with the employer, but when you file your taxes. The W-4 you filed with each employer controls the amount withheld and if you put single/2 on each you will most likely owe come April. Your employers do have the right to know if you have another employer, particularly if you one is a government employer.

Other answers

if both employers use the same payroll processing company there is no way either can see the other's employment records, if the processing company is ethical at all only the processing company knows and it is very unlikely they will even notice your SS in both places
