  • Answer:

The firm maintains legal responsibility for their work and advice irrespective of what the staff is permitted to do. Many firms permit their paralegals to do initial client intake, fill out forms, liaison with clients, and even create legal documents. However , most documents require an attorney's signature. Paralegals work output is generally reviewed and approved prior to leaving the office. If a paralegal has obtained a Notary License they may also witness signings and affidavits.
