What wildflowers should I plant on a grass verge outside my house?

    Most wildflower mixes will give noce colour but do listen to CAT3's comments about the council cutting the verge. Wildflower seed isn't cheap. Also, most wildflower mixes prefer poor soil conditions (low organic matter and NPK) so again, check this before spending money where it might just fail because of the soil conditions.

You can buy a special wild flowers mix. The big seed companies make one specifically for this task It includes cornflower, poppies, buttercup etc. One of my friends used it to surround a farmhouse on the top of the pennines.

Since the council cuts that grass then they must own it and therefore you can't plant anything on a public street.....check with you local city hall!
