What's the difference between a Personal Assistant and an Executive Assistant?

Personal assistant will assist one person and would be paid by that person. an executive assistant can only assist one or two MANAGERS but the company they work for pay you. Some people toss in the word Executive between personal and assistant to make it sound better.. If you have a chance take the executive assistant. that would be more in a professional environment and lead to more future opportunities.

The difference is where the work is done. An Executive Asst is a business asst for usually a big deal business man, aiding him in the work day planning. A Personal Asst is a asst for an individual more in the managing of their personal schedules & planning at home.

I tend to think of personal assistants as scam jobs. ex asst. would be a real job. at a real office. with real work hours. with real pay.
