Some fun Easter Day games....?

  • Hi, I was just wondering some fun things to do tomorrow for Easter. We'll have 14 children ranging from 6 months to 17 years old that will want to do something fun. Also some fun ...show more

  • Answer:

Here you go for the grown ups ... actually you could use it for the kids too! My husband does things over and over again that annoy me to no end, which have been discussed already. He says he'll work on it, but I see no changes. I want to plan an "Easter egg scavenger hunt" for him - I will start off with his favorite candies ... then I will lead him to the annoying things he does, such as stinky socks lying around the house, crumbs on the couch, leaving garbage in the sink, empty beer cans all over the house, hideous stinky slippers and old clothes that he HOARDS ... do you think this will get my point across?

Fluffy needs a tail Make a Rabbit on poster board without a tail. The children will rake turn "Pinning the Tail" on the bunny, using Large Cotton balls and tape. Easter Bunny, Easter Bunny, Where's Your Egg? Cut a Large paper egg. The players form a circle with one child in the middle as "the Bunny" The Bunny covers their eyes while a player is selected to sit on the egg. Then the Children Chant... "Easter Bunny, Easter Bunny, where's your egg? Somebody stole it from your home!" The Easter bunny then has three guesses to find the child who is sitting on it. That child then becomes the new bunny in the middle. Bunny Hop Play follow the leader with an Easter theme... Start hopping and then add other movements as well. Easter Relay Divide the Children into two teams. Provide each team with one spoon and a marshmallow Chick or Plastic Easter Egg. Rolling Eggs Mark on the table, or on the floor, if preferred, with chalk, four parallel lines, eight or ten feet long, and four or five inches apart. Thus there are three narrow spaces. At the end of each space make a circle, numbering the middle one 10, and the other two, 5. The middle space is marked 3, and the other two, 1. The object of the game is to have each child roll five eggs, one at a time, down the middle space to the circles at the ends. If the egg goes into the middle circle, it counts 10, but if it stops in the middle space, it counts only 3, and so on, counting the number of the place where it stops. Tally is kept for each child, the one scoring the most points wins the game. have a normal easter egg hunt but put cool things inside plastic eggs. put a cool trinkit in just a few of them and then have food. make ginat arts and crafts or go to a little store and get stuffed animals that have to do with easter we did this last year and it was a hit. have a fun easter

Tigers Gal!

JELLYBEAN TOSS Cut the top off an egg carton. Using the bottom , number cups 1-12 with a magic marker or crayon. Place the carton on the floor and mark a starting line about 8 feet away. Give each player a different color jellybean. To Play, each player stands behind the line, calls out a number between 1-12 and tried to toss the jellybean into that numbered cup. For each successful toss, one point is given. First player with 21 points WINS! EGGHEAD You take three eggs and hardboil one and leave two raw. Put them in a bowl, have someone pick one out and smash it over their head. If they get the hardboiled one out of three people, they get a prize. KIDS EGG HUNT Take 5 to10 eggs and hide them inside for kids to find. The kid who has most eggs at the end WINS. INDOOR EGG HUNT Is rain going to ruin your Easter egg hunt? Just hide jelly beans inside the house and have your adults or kids hunt for them. Depending on the age of the participants you can make the hunt easy or hard. Ever try and see a black jelly bean on a black object? Have fun!! REVERSE EGG HUNT You could have your children make at least five eggs each and hide them around the house. When they are done hiding them, the parents could look for them. I hope this is a great idea. TEENAGE EGG HUNT Have a scavenger hunt. Place clues on the Table for when they wakeup on Easter morning, Remember, kids are slick so don't make the CLUES too easy... after all we all know they know it all.. The one who finds his or hers final clue first can get a Bonus along with his goodies that are at the end of the hunt...like 2 tickets to a show! EASTER GUESSING GAME Take a Jar filled with various types of easter eggs, jelly beans, malted, chocolate etc. Count Them as You fill it add a $5 bill at the top and tape it shut. I leave paper next to the jar and everyone guesses how many are in the jar...even grandma & grandpa. The person who is the closest without going over is the winner. They win the jar, eggs and the $5. Fun for all. EASTER MEMORY You paint one side of the egg a color, or even a shape. You hide it in the grass, with the color side facing the ground. The players have to remember what color is where, just like the game memory (sometimes called concentration) have fun! EGG RELAY RACE The way you play this game is to have at least 15 kids and/or adults. If you were playing with 15 people you would need 5 hard-boiled eggs because there are 3 people on a team and you get the point. Well, you put the egg on the spoon and run with it to the next person in the line(you need to put the three people in a line about 10 to 15 feet apart.)If you drop the egg then you have to go back to YOUR starting point and run with it again. Whoever wins gets the desired prize of the person who is responsible for holding the race. There are first, second, and third places. EGG ROLL Here is another easter game for little ones. Mark off a start and stop point anywhere from 5 to 10 feet apart. Using a hard boiled egg ( can be decorated or plain) have the kids down on hands and knees. Roll the egg across the floor using only there noses. The first one to the finish line without touching the egg with their hands is the grand champion nose roller. NIGHTTIME EGG HUNT Have an Easter Egg Hunt in the dark with flashlights for adults. It's a Blast watching all the OLD folk look like GOOFS :)

How about a good- old fashioned Easter egg hunt. You could hide the plastic eggs so the real one will not get broken. Have a special golden one or one that differs in size n color from the rest for the "BIG PRIZE!" My family also gathered around and explained the Easter story and Jesus's resurection to the youngster. That has become a tradition! You could hide the children's baskets. Another game we always played was called "Huck-a-buck-a-beanstalk! Long name but great game! While everyone is sitting in the room, in another room or part of the house, hide a a special object, like a pink eraser . You know the big rectangular ones. Or something bigger. tell the participants that they have to calmly and quietly search around the house for this time that is hidden in plain sight! The first one who finds it, goes to sit down and says once Huck-a-buck-a-beanstalk. Then watch everyone else scramble to try and find the item! This is a allot of fun no matter how big or small your group is! Another funny group game is called "gossip"! One by one you each are given a phrase to whisper to the next person. By the time it get to the last person that gets the gossip, it is totally different than how it began! Use the phrase, " Here comes Peter Cottontail" and sit back and watch the fun!~ I wonder how it will end up when they are done? Don't you? Happy Easter and good luck to you my friend!
