What should I say if I call a potential employer?

The first thing I would do is to call and ask the names of the doctors that interviewed you so that you could send them thank you notes and maybe clarify some thing you may have said or that came to mind. Then you can ask how they are proceeding on the decision making process and if they need any additional information from you. Something to keep in mind going forward with interviews where you don't get the names or heaven forbid forget the names you can also send a thank you note to the organizer and ask them to forward it to those other individuals. I usually try to get a couple controlling questions in every interview such as, "Mr. XYZ what is your particular role in the company and what do you see this position needs to change to help you do or make your job easier?" This give me a chance to say and confirm their name and also find out what they are looking for instead of going through their list of questions one at a time.
