Can I grow an orchid from seed and how long would it take?

How long does it take for tomatoes to grow from seed to able to eat. also how much is a good price each tomato?

  generally 50-65 or so days to maturity. they are also normally sold by the pound not per tomato. or you can put them in baskets or bags and sell for a fixed price. home grown tomatoes generally sell for $3-5 a basket in our area and you get 4-6 average tomatoes in a basket. if you are growing beefsteaks or varieties that grow over a pound per fruit you could probly sell them for $2 each. just remember if there is a high demand for your product you can raise the price a bit, if low demand lower your price
