Is being a bouncer a good job ?

The hours might be difficult. Can you really stay up all night and function that next day in a class?

It depends, do you like dealing with obnoxious drunks, stupid drunk idiots, and stepping between aggressive morons? If so it's the job for you. The best thing you can do is look as intimidating as possible. I did the job for a couple of months when I was younger. It was no fun. What management wants is for you to go over break of the fight, or escort the drunk to the door, with the least amount of violence you can. Hopefully the individuals involved will agree to this if not look out! The worst one I had was serious bruises, a pissed off boss, and cops on my case for damaging the mayors nephew! I quit wasn't worth it to me!

sure if you like drunks, breaking up fights, and getting in fights with drunks who think they are invincible. Oh yea then there are the underage kids who "forgot their ID", people trying to sneak in, the late hours, people spilling drinks on you, and being surrounded by people drinking while you can't drink. whats not to love?

Sounds like it would be interesting. Id see how it goes. Since you will most likely work at night it would be a great job since you are a college student.

For a college student I would say that's not a good option.There must be something better that you can do on weekends because depending on what you will be studying you'll be very busy during the week.

It's a great job especially if you don't mind being around drunks. The best bouncers are individuals who can spot trouble before it happens, are polite to a fault, and can say no to sweet little things that are trying to get in where they should not be. My favorites were mostly gentle giants, all sweet as pie guys who kept the drunks in line. Especially the little bitty ones, who for some reason are always the worst.
