  • Answer:

Yes, you should bring your birth certificate and any other document that shows that you are a legal resident in the country, such as an official ID picture issued to you (School ID might work). Of course, you should always bring copies of your resume and personal references---you could use your teachers as references since you have no professional references. Then again, it is McDonald's.. I don't think they'd be looking into that.

How exciting your first job. First off, yes, that means a birth certificate if you were born in New Zealand. I don't know if you will need a resume, since this is your first job. However, it would be great to have character references. Teachers, Family Friends, or someone who is a buisness professional that knows you. I was a Store Manager at a McDonalds here in the US. I am sure they are going to ask you question about customer service and then of course your school schedule and the days that you can work. If they ask you what you would do in a situation with an anger customer (trust me it happens) I would tell them first off, I would remind myself that they are not mad at me personally, I am just someone for them to yell at. I would apoligize to them for the mistake, and either fix it right away for them. ( new sandwich, fries, etc.) and while I was fixing it I would tell them again, that I apoligize for the inconvience that this has brought to them. If you apologize right away, and try to be as kind as possible, most people calm down right away, because you are too nice, for them to be mad. If you have someone who will not calm down when trying to speak to them, start off with repeative persistance. Which means you say the same thing over and over to them, in a much softer voice than them, that they have to calm down to hear the words that you are saying. Finally, if they still will not calm down, I would suggest and tell them that you are going to, get your manager. Good Luck on your interview I know you will do great!!!
