  Retail is tough...long hours, low pay. I work in hotels and work from 8am -5pm in the sales department. Before I started in hotel sales I worked at Mervyns....12 bucks an hour. I looked at real estate, insurance, and landed in hotels. You can also do a catering sales job, but in catering, my associates put in longer hours because they have to be there for their client events. I got started at www.aprinda.com by doing an online certificate course...it took me 14 hours online and was well worth it. Instead of making 12 bucks an hour, I make 45K a year and hang out in nice hotels. PS. I don;t have a degree, So far I love my job, 8-5, nice surroundings, nice people, seems like I can move up the career ladder and make decent money.....we will see.
