  First off, show up to ask for the application as if you're showing up to an interview. First impressions are huge. Walk into the store and ask to speak with the supervisor or manager on duty. Introduce yourself and say you're interested in working for Starbucks, and would like to know if they are currently hiring and for what positions. If they say yes, ask for an application to fill out and return - ask for the manager's name (if you're not already talking to the manager) and the best time to catch them in the store so that you can return it to them personally. If they say no, ask if you could have an application anyway to fill out and bring in, so that they can keep it on file and possibly pass it around the area to other stores who may be hiring. Starbucks gets a LOT of applications, so it's very important that you present yourself well and stand out as a friendly person who'd be a good addition to the team. Good luck!
