Nursing students: what does a week in nursing school like?

    Oh it's not that bad. If you have all your general ed courses done beforehand and are just working on the nursing courses, you'll have probably two days on campus for classes and skills labs, then one day of clinicals. My school's program had a 3 hr lecture for the "main" course which was twice per week, then the skills labs were about 2 hours, other misc. nursing classes like Leadership concepts was about 2 hrs. Clinical days are a full 8 hours on site at a nursing home or hospital. You'll spend a lot of time studying, but it's definitely not going to ruin your life. I worked part time and had two small children at home and it wasn't bad at all in terms of time commitment. It is stressful - I won't lie. But if you're organized and study hard you'll do fine.
