What are the steps to becoming a Medical Sonographer?

  • Answer:

Most diagnostic medical sonographers have an associate (two-year) degree. Please be aware that those in the medical imaging field have said that there are NOT supposed to be too many jobs for sonographers or radiologic technologists despite what those private overly priced For-profit schools proclaim such as pima institute, anthem, sanford brown, everest, keiser, argosy, capella, brown mackie, kaplan, heald and others. These consumer sites have negative posts by former students about those private $$ for-profit tech schools, and please heed the students' warnings: - http://www.complaintsboard.com - http://www.ripoffreport.com - http://www.pissedconsumer.com and can search. Anyway, if you're still interested in training, please only consider the more affordable local community college as long as the program is accredited within the industry.
