On average how much do you spend on Christmas gifts a year?

$200 to $300. We don't like the commercialism of the holiday so we have always avoided it... we make it more about traditions like baking cookies and reading stories and going to see lights. Our kids get things like PJs, a book, board games, art supplies, home-knitted stuff, etc. We give each other something small and my mother; everyone else, we make gifts. Not that my kids are deprived-- they've got their PS3 & Wii & DS's & MP3 players... we just don't do big ticket items for the holidays, they have to get those things by saving b-day money or allowance or earning it... I'm really glad we did it this way because my kids value their possessions because they know they don't grow on trees, they also value the holiday season with us for the meaning of the season, for family togetherness and helping others and there is never a big fuss over "stuff" and "shopping."

this year not as much, a few hundred, been tight this year, but hey we're all alive so god bless.

Honestly Very very little Our belief is to do it through the year . NOT just cause someone SAYS its the thing to do . GrKIds get treats BUT generally a card for others & gifts throughout the year ~~ smiles BA HUMBUG lol D :)
