Yes. I know very many nurses who have gone on to med school and become successful doctors. Working as a RN gives you an edge, esp with clinical skills and critical thinking when you are a doctor

No, you cannot go straight from nursing school to med school. I think they should make a program for that though! I'm going to go back for my NP which I think is pretty close to being a doctor without all of the schooling and liability.
