LISTEN HEAR BUDDY, IF YOU WENT TO A 2 YEAR COLLEGE AND HAVE AN ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN NURSING THEN YOU CAN TAKE THE STATE BOARD TEST AND IF YOU PASS, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO BE THE NURSE--- NOT THE ASSISTANT. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO MAKE 10 DOLLARS PER HOUR WHEN YOU CAN MAKE 30. OK RUN AND TAKE THAT TEST AND START MAKING THAT BIG MONEY. NO NEED TO BE AN ASSISTANCE, BE THE NURSE

After you graduate with your ADN, you then take the NCLEX - when you pass that you become a Registerd Nurse. If you have your ADN and don't pass the NCLEX, then you can't work as a Registered Nurse, but could work as a nursing assistant. (it happens, but usually after a few tries most past the licensing exam and become a RN) You do not need an Associates Degree in Nursing to become a nursing assistant - not recommended- waste of a ton of time and money if what you are working for is to become a nursing assistant..

Why would you want is my question? When you say assistant nurse I think of a CNA. An ADN Nurse and a BSN nurse in the hospital in the beginning make the same money and have the same responsibility. Both are registered nurses. assistant nurses do not have any formal education they got to a class at a nursing home or the hospital for about six weeks and become nursing assistants
