Can you volunteer as a medical assistant?

Where can i volunteer as a medical assistant?

  You cannot do things like that without training. Some places allow it on the job, but usually you need some sort of program first and it would be a paying job and not volunteering. Medical assistant is a specific title for a specific job that requires a 1-2 year training program. People that specifically take blood are phlebotomists, and there are techs that mostly just do EKGs, and those may have on the job training in some places but I am not sure. Most volunteer positions would have no patient care.
