  • Answer:

Regarding medical assistants: From the US dept. of labor, "Although not required, certification indicates that a medical assistant meets certain standards of competence. " So, this is a job you can walk into by just knowing a few people in an office and usually is had with in-service on-the-job training. LPNs are usually better prepared and may get somewhat better jobs. But, I would check out the job I want and see what kind of qualifications it requires. The duties of an RN would be substantially greater but the pay would also be greater. You really must go into some Drs' offices and ask what jobs require what level of education.
