Nursing or Pharmacy for a career? So confused.?

With nursing you don't have to stop at a bachelors. You can get a masters and become a Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwife, or Nurse Anesthetist. If you are very interested in chemistry then pharmacy might be the right option for you though. I can't say for sure, but I don't imagine that pharmacists get that feeling of "changing someone's life" that you mentioned. That is not to say they aren't necessary because they absolutely are, but if you work as a pharmacist in a hospital you wont work directly with patients. A pharmacist will make significantly more money than a nurse or even a nurse practitioner but not more than a CRNA (certified registered nurse anesthetist). I start nursing school in January with the ultimate goal of being a CRNA with a Ph.D. so I can teach as well as practice.

First of all, nursing does not require a BSN in the United States. I have an Associate Degree and am an RN. However, if you are really interested in chemistry, becoming a Pharmacist or even a Physician Assistant (not to be confused with Medical Assistant) might be more to your liking. Being a PA in the US requires a Masters degree and having Chemistry as your undergrad degree is one of the optimal degrees to have when applying to a PA program.

Your interested in biology, so I would go for Pharmacist. I'm gonna be one too, still in grade 10 though.
