Can a physician assistant work part time?

Do you think it's possible to work part time as both a physician assistant and professional musician?

  • I am trying to find a way to be able to pursue and professionally develop my two passions in life of Music and Medicine....Any PA's out there think this is possible? Thanks!

    I am in the same boat, I love my career the people I work with what I do everyday, but I also have had a passion for playing music and writing music since an early age. On one hand I have a solid, not to mention well paying career that funds my music addiction, but I feel my true calling is in producing music and I am majoring in engineering with a minor in music, yeah those 2 do not go together at all! I just make sure I have time for both, but if the opportunity arises for my music career to take off I will not pass it up.

Anything is worth a try. I say go for it. You don't want to look back on your life and say "What if I had a chance to play the guitar?" and you can't 'cuz you're now 65 and a retired PA.... Think about that...
