Can you take the PTCB pharmacy technician exam without taking classes?

    First, double check that you don't need formal education to be a pharmacy tech in your state. Here is the link for the IL State Board of Pharmacy: http://www.idfpr.com/dpr/who/phar.asp I have heard of it being done, but the test was hard. I was easily able to get a job without it, then took the test after I had a few months experience. Anyone with pharmacy experience should be able to pass it with no problem.
