Is it hard to become a dentist?

I'm considering to become a dentist..but is it really hard to become one like as hard to become a pharmacist?

    Getting into dental school is not as hard as it used to be because dentistry is no longer one of the top paying professions. Yes, it will take 8 years of really hard study. You do need to be good at the subjects you mentioned. It is a physically demanding job because you are bending an stretching over people all day. The suicide rate for dentists is high compared to the population as a whoel; it's also high compared to other professions--I don't know why, but it's maybe because the work is so finely detailed and patients are usually not happy to be having treatment. The training for pharmacy is also quite hard, but much less so than dentistry. It also takes a lot less time. Don't forget to calculate the cost of dental school versus pharmacy. The loans can be huge!
