  I work for a non-profit, state resource and referral agency in Louisiana as a child advocate, administrative assistant, certified state trainer, and referral specialist. I actually just found out that child care centers have an extreme lack emergency preparedness for disasters and is an excellent field to go into if you enjoy that type of work. I actually had to attend training on how to teach the class and the appropriate subject matter, create a training geared toward emergency preparedness for "child care" (of course depending on which part of the state you work under) and go out and teach them how to be prepared. Plus your making things safe for the children! If you're interested you can Google "resource and referral agency" in "your state" and you should get some good results. We're everywhere, it's just no one really knows about us. Check it out!
