Where are the GIS jobs?

Where can I get an entry-level GIS or mapping position? There aren't any jobs out there!?

There’s a lot of GIS jobs in California, maybe you just don’t know how to find one. You could try “hotJobs” in Yahoo, there’s a lot of Job posting for GIS technician. Or simply check Google for GIS mapping job posting. By the way what discipline you are in GIS? What software are you familiar with?

Do you have a master's degree that aggressively focuses on GIS mapping? That could be your ticket to getting a job in that field - employers really look for either experience or some type of advanced degree in GIS.
