    Either is fine, just get the cheaper one. All Littmanns are great but a super expensive one is just not needed.

I'm going to agree with the others - unless you are going to med school and have to start distinguishing heart sounds and bruits and other fun things, less is more. The other thing about that is that stuff tends to "go missing" in nursing school. Sometimes lost - because you're doing clinicals in a thousand different places, or stolen, because people can't keep their hands to themselves. Once you start working and have a little bit of money, you can upgrade. I had the Classic for several years after nursing school. When that one broke (don't hang it over your rearview mirror in extreme heat) I bought another. And just upgraded to a Cardiac for nurse practitioner school.

It's like getting a Leica camera ($6,000) when a reasonable Nikon ($500) will do. The "light weight" Littmann will do. It's $45.
