What are some good government jobs??

What's wrong with government jobs?

  • Answer:

I hate to break the bad news to you but the Fed is borrowing $0.46 for every dollar spent. The borrowing is usually done in the form of bonds (US T-bills) which take 30 years to payoff. So whatever is paid in salaries and benefits now gets spread out over 30 years plus interest. Next year the process begins anew with more spending and more requisite borrowing to cover it. It's like printing more money. It's kind of like a ponzi scheme. This is a spending bubble that will burst, leaving a hugh mess. This is a losers' endgame because at some point the countries and investors who have been buying these T-bills will realize we can't pay it all back. China and Japan have already questioned the wisdom of continuing to buy our bonds. Your use of the term "investment" is facetious. It can only be propped up through borrowing. These are luxuries we can no longer afford in their present form and will need to be curtailed or eliminated before the whole house of cards comes tumbling down.
