Many civil service psoitions are assigned a grade between G2 and G15 that indicates the roughly the amount of education and experience. a G7 posiiton usually requires a bacholors degree. a G13-G15 are executive level staff. Salary is determined by the grade and the step. steps are from one to ten, and most start at step 5. roughly each year a person gains a step with its increase in pay.
