  • Answer:

The most highly paid jobs belong to corporate chairs, CEOs and a few senior executives. They are the most highly paid because the recieve a great deal of their compensation from stock incentives and bonuses that are contractual. Aside from them, folks in the financial services area are handsomely compensated but often receive astonishing bonuses based on performance. The Wall Street Journal today had an article about to Goldman Sachs employees that will get between $5 and $10 million in bonuses for work they did last year. The caveat is that it is difficult to repeat from year to year that kind of performance. Another big income career is Sales. That is sales where you get a commission. But you need to be moving big ticket items. For instance, real estate agents typically get 3% of the sale price of a house. On a $100,000 house that $3,000; on a million dollar house that's $30,000. Sell one a month, that's $3,600,000 a year. Not bad. But not easy either. You have too find and move 12 million dollar homes a year. Other sales opportunities are available and may produce more or less income. Good luck!
