I am pursuing MBA and i am confused what to opt between marketing and finance.Which of the two is better one?

One Key difference i think is finance is for people who have strong concentration power to read, study and ability to understand. Marketing is for people who have the ability to befriend other people and ability to make a relation with them. Finance people have to listen, study in idle time to enhance themselves. They should know changes in taxation, govt. rules at the earliest to compete with others in this field. Marketing people in idle time have to spend time out of house with people to enhance themselves so that they should have better knowledge of the city, environment, people tastes & thoughts, opportunities in market, else they will not be able to say something interesting and new to influence others and ultimately they will be forgotten soon.

I'd go with marketing, but it all depends on your interests. Typically in a finance role, you will have a much lower cap on salary than in marketing. Marketing can sometimes be very similar to sales, which is where the real money is...

It totally depends on your interest. Whether you are more money cautious or interested in meeting peoples. Marketing has much wider scope while doing MBA as it opens your window to sky of companies. Whereas money is better taken care by accountants and CA's. Every company needs marketing personnels in more quantity than of finance stream. Me too is working for a Delhi based company as a Project Manager - Don't have to report to any office. I have only done a Diploma in Marketing Management, having work experience of 9 years including companies like Berger Paints India Ltd. Moreover you can choose a field, product of your own choice in Mktg. field and can go for a change if and when needed.

It does not matter, whether the cat is black or white so far as it catches the mice Equal opportunities are available. But one need to pursue its own interest ,inclination and choice to become a wonder boy.
