Answer:
That's a tough question. What was your read on this guy? Did he seem like the type to get annoyed if you hound him? Or did he seem fairly easy going? He did not call you back either way, so call him again. Call back every day, but avoid calling multiple times a day because that just comes across as desperate. You don't want to appear desperate, even if you are, especially if you have not yet negotiated your salary and benefits. I do not care for email when dealing with prospective employees. It lacks the personal touch. Maybe something came up and he is simply unavoidably delayed in returning your call. Calling once per day, shows interest and does not show desperation. I would stick to that for now. Good Luck.

I would call. Being concerned about a job offer and asking about it would actually give you points in my book. Especially in marketing. That is the kind of personality it takes in most industries to survive in marketing.

You can call again today. If you need to leave a message, make sure you leave your full name and make sure you leave a good phone number. If they don't call you today or tomorrow, you can follow-up on Friday.

Give him a day or so, then call back. If I had a nickel for every potential employer who said they'd let me know or I should call, then never said anything... I'd have quite a few nickels.

He could have been in meetings yesterday and did not have the chance to return your call. It is kind of like tennis, you have now left the ball in his court. I would say if he doesnt return your call by 3 or 3:30pm today give him a call back. Also, if he gave you a direct line, maybe dial in to the main number and be transfered. The one you called may be set at times to go directly to voice mail. GOOD LUCK!! Hope you get the job!

Wait another day, then call if you don't hear anything. Maybe he was too busy to return the call yesterday.

wait today .. if no answer, show up in person ready to work. maybe you didn't get the job, and showing up in person at starting time ready to work will get you remembered for the next such job opening.
