What can I do with Marketing as a career?

With a degree in marketing, what can I have as a career that will earn the most money? ?

  • Do people who have marketing degrees usually make good money?

  • Answer:

While the other comments so far have been pretty useless, they aren't entirely wrong (except the crap about prostitutes). A marketing degree alone isn't worth as much as you'd like, but it can get your foot in the door on the ground level. Marketing is about experience. I don't know if you've already got the degree, but most programs have large assignments and projects, such as a full out mock marketing plan. Having samples of these to show potential employers can be a real plus. Also, join AMA. This is a good networking tool and something to put on the resume.

Very few people even work in the fields their degrees are from. My friend has a marketing degree from a good university and he works in insurance now. go figure. Study what you love, you'll work for 50 years and believe me the love of money will run out before your passion does.

hate to be the one to break it to ya, but a degree in marketing means hard to get a career that will "earn the most money". Your best bet is probably sales. If you're good you could make a ton, but its hard to be one of the best salesmen.

Gay prostitutes make more money so if you're after a stable career then go for that
