How can I become a good sales person?

• I have no sales person skills. My previous job didn't require me to sell anything like clothes, how can I become a more adept sales lady, more specifically for clothes?

  Learn to ask questions. You can get farther in influencing people by being genuinely interested in them than by trying to get them to be interested in you. So for example asking them if there are any questions that they may have for you is a much better approach than telling them what you think they need to know. I could imagine that in clothing sales you may want to ask if they have a certain occasion in mind that they shopping for. Then be a good listener, and really listen to everything they have to say, and follow up with another question relating to their answer to show that you truly were listening. A great salesperson is a good listener. And to get people to talk to you show them your sincere interest. Have fun!
