When skiing, what is the best place to mount the GoPro camera?

  Place it on top of your helmet and it will give you the best first-person view. Drawback: if you're not skiing in powder it will be shaky (you may use Aftereffects plugins to smooth it out) Place it on your chest and you'll get more steady shots (this would be my favorite) Drawback: The experience is a bit less immersive as it is not an usual PoV, and the chest holder is a bit expensive Place it at the end of a pole (either telescopic or your own) and you'll get awesome shots in powder and interesting PoV for jumps and tricks (you can film yourself or use it to film closer to other skiers) Drawback: It will impair your balance Place it on your skis and you might lose it (it happened to me..) Overall you should try to alternate the point of views and to insert a few fixed shot, and funny shots like high fives... Have fun, go pro! a few other examples
